My Play Level
Beginner (I have some experience playing in a band – knowing some chords & scales – mainly playing blues and easy songs – and I can play solos at a beginner’s level)
Intermediate (I have a few years of experience playing in a band – I happily play 7th chords, (a.o. Maj7, 7, m7, m7b5, and dim7 chords & I can play their related scales in a couple of tonalities (e.g. C, F, Bb, G and D). I understand and can play common chord progressions and I play solos on songs in different styles).
Advanced (I have many years of experience playing in bands and attending jam sessions – I know all type of chords, even with extensions (s.a. C7b9, Cm/Maj7). I can play all related chord scales in almost any tonality. I know how to work with difficult chord changes, with modulations and how to play in a modal context).
